We’ve called our community home for more than 70 years, and we love celebrating all it has to offer. Recently, Luebbe Hearing Services’ Dr. Mary Lou Luebbe-Gearhart and husband Dave Gearhart (former navigator F-4 Phantom jet-USAF and aviation enthusiast) attended the National Aviation Hall of Fame (NAHF) 53rd Annual Enshrinement Dinner and Ceremony to honor legends of aerospace who inspire future leaders. The NAHF honors the people — industry leaders, pilots and aviators, engineers and scientists, astronauts and inventors — who have made American aerospace what it is today.
Following the traditional toast to the Wright Brothers and toast to the Armed Forces, master of ceremonies David Hartman, original host of TV’s “Good Morning America”, and biographical narrator Nick Clooney honored this year’s inductees: astronaut Robert L Crippen; Medal of Honor recipient George Everette “Bud” Day; creator and pioneer of US Mission Control and manned spaceflight Christopher Columbus Kraft, Jr.; and world champion aerobatic pilot and visionary director of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA “Oshkosh”) and the Young Eagles Program, Thomas L. Poberezny.
We were honored to attend the event!
